Start by selecting what size set you want: 2-4 player (4 paddles), 2-6 player (6 paddles), or 2-8 players (8 paddles). Then determine whether you prefer a white cardboard storage box or a beautiful matching hardwood cherry box.
1. THE PADDLES ARE APPROX. 2 ¼” HIGH AND 12 1/2'” LONG, AND 5/8" THICK AND ARE NOW MADE OF CHERRY, A BEAUTIFUL, DURABLE NORTH AMERICAN HARDWOOD.
2. THE PEGS ARE BEAUTIFULLY PAINTED HARDWOOD CRIBBAGE PEGS.
3. THE STARTING GATE AND HOME OF EACH PADDLE IS RECESSED AND HAND-PAINTED TO MATCH THE COLORS OF THE PEGS’
4. EACH PLAYER HAS HIS OWN PADDLE (decided by which color he/she prefers) AND ALL THE PADDLES ARE THEN LINKED TOGETHER TO FORM THE PLAYING “BOARD”.
5. CUR PADDLES HAVE BEEN ALTERED TO ALLOW A 3 PLAYER CONFIGURATION TO BE ASSEMBLED (see photo). NOTE THAT OUR GAMES CAN BE ASSEMBLED IN MANY SHAPES (triangle, square, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon). SELECT A SHAPE THAT BEST WORKS ON THE TABLE YOU ARE PLAYING AT.
6. EACH SET COMES WITH A FULL SET OF RULES (team play and individual play) THAT ARE EASY TO READ AND UNDERSTAND.
7. THE BOX FOR STORING OUR GAME AND TAKING IT TO THE CAMPGROUND OR A FRIEND'S HOUSE, IS A WHITE CARDBOARD BOX THAT WILL HOLD THE PADDLES, PEGS, RULES, AND DECKS OF CARDS OR YOU CAN UPGRADE TO A BEAUTIFUL CHERRY HARDWOOD BOX MADE FROM THE SAME WOOD AS THE PADDLES.
Jokers and Pegs (a.k.a. Pegs and Jokers, jokers and marbles, and Social Security) Is a great board game played by 2 to 8 players. A folk lore version of Sorry, it is similar to aggravation and Parcheesi and is a great family game. Regular playing cards are used and the game is clearly a game of strategies. Rules allow for team play which makes it even more exciting. Playing partners, men against the women, or kids against the adults can make for a great evening of fun and laughter.This is a great family game and is a really good educational game because it teaches kids to strategize and plan ahead.
The paddles are handcrafted from beautiful and durable Cherry hardwood and the starting gate and the home are routed and painted. The individual boards link together using round mortise and tenon connections. The pegs are solid hardwood cribbage style pegs painted in 8 different colors ( 5 of each).
