The card is made from 100% recycled card and the small tree which will display your tree number is hand cut in England by a fellow small business owner. The card will display the planting project the tree belongs to along with the tree number so that each tree is accounted for. The tree is planted using a tree planting platform who plants the trees on our behalf. Half of the profits from each card is donated to the tree planting company, planting 1 tree per card bought. Please note - I am not able to tell you before ordering where your specific tree will be planted as this is determined on purchase. Usual locations are Kenya, Tanzania, and Madagascar. You will not see an image of your 1 specific tree, you will see details of the group of trees of which your numbered tree is one of them. How to find details of your tree: The location of your tree will be printed on the front of the card, but to see more details and proof of planting, simply scan the QR code on the front of the card to be directed to Eco-U's Instagram post where you will find the planting certificate and planting details of your tree (you do not need Instagram to view this). In addition, you can follow the web address printed on the back of the card to see Eco-U's 'virtual forest' which details our complete planting history. PLEASE NOTE - Trees are purchased in lots of 100-500, so each 'batch' will have its own certificate and section in the virtual forest. You can find the details of your donation (which funded the planting of 1 tree) on the planting certificate which you can view by scanning the QR code. The link on the back of the card will take you to the planting company's website, where full details of their amazing work and planting projects can be viewed. The card is 9cm x 6cm in size. Please see the images above of my holding the card for a sense of scale. We will soon be launching a larger, postcard sized card (watch this space!)
