Maui Seeds, as fresh as seeds get. Rest assured that you are purchasing the finest seed available when you place an order with us. What happens to the seeds once you have them is totally up to you. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE OFFER THESE SEEDS WET PACKED AS WELL AS DRY IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAVE THEM FOR A LATER DATE OR GIFT TO SOMEONE.
The wet packed Lilikoi seeds will being to germinate in about 3 to 6 weeks. The DRY packed seeds will go dormant once dried and will take much longer to germinate once dried out, about NINE MONTHS. We do not offer refunds/replacements for any of our seeds. Please read all shop policies before placing any orders.
When available, we do offer larger/bulk sized seed packets. Please choose at checkout your size Assortment. (We also offer 3 types x25 each/75 total seeds or 3 types x 100 seeds each/300 total). Lilikoi is also known as Passionfruit. LILIKOI VINE SEEDS TAKE A MONTH OR TWO TO GERMINATE AND THEN WILL GROW AT DIFFERENT RATES. PLEASE READ THE GROWING 'TIPS' PROVIDED BELOW. WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH YOUR SEEDS.
The freshly collected from the fruit seeds are packed in damp paper toweling so that they remain viable on their way to you. Please read up on growing this easy to grow and fast fruiting vine. Assorted Lilikoi vines growing all over the MauiSeed.com Haiku, Maui garden. Please allow some type of structure or support for your Lilioki vines. They will grow up a near by tree or hedge with their long rambling vines. Notice how the Lilikoi vines have taken over the whole South side of our house in one of the listing photos.
You can start your seeds in a communal container of good potting soil. Keep your Lilikoi seeds evenly watered and WARM enough. Lilikoi is a vine and the seeds sprout at different times/not all at once, this is normal. IT USUALLY TAKES LILIKOI A GOOD 5+ WEEKS TO GERMINATE AND THEN IT TAKES OFF AT DIFFERENT RATES. Evenly water and be sure to keep between 75-85 degrees at all times.
After a month or two you will have multiple little green seedlings. Transplant the faster growing Lilikoi seedlings carefully with a spoon into individual containers. Be careful not to damage or touch the tiny developing roots. Lilikoi is a fast growing vine once it is about a 1-2' high, please provide support and a very sunny/warm location (not Desert though!). Please read up on growing this tropical fruit vine in your specific area.
