Back in June 2018, Danielewski released a pilot online. Elijah Wood called it “incredible.” Wood wasn't alone. The pilot was quickly downloaded more than 10,000 times. Despite much praise and excitement, Danielewski felt the effort was still a “sketch.” With the release of a completely new pilot plus two more episodes, it’s clear that Danielewski has something far vaster in mind: new themes, new characters, and of course, new fears. The architecture of emptiness hasn't stopped growing and the technology of darkness seeps terribly into view . . .
Danielewski considers these teleplays a work in progress: “It will take a committed production to get to 100% unless . . .” And here’s where the experiment part comes in: if there is no production opportunity but enough interest here, Danielewski will continue on with Season One. And if we get that far, why not a Season Two?
