✨How to stick a sticker on a door without air bubbles?
1️⃣The surface should be prepared for gluing.
To do this, clean it of dust and grease using alcohol or Mister Muscle. To facilitate sticking, the door handles must be removed.
2️⃣If the surface to be glued has a texture
(roughness, microdeepening, unevenness), then it should not be wetted, since moisture will remain in the depressions and microcracks.
3️⃣The gluing process is quite simple.
and you can do it alone. To do this, apply stickers on the top and sides 10 cm below the top edge, a strip of masking tape or trimmings of our film. These dangling marks will hold your door sticker straight at the beginning of the process.
4️⃣Apply the sticker to the door as evenly as possible,
and smooth the overlying marks to the ends. Do not remove the entire base of the sticker at once. Fold over the top of the decal and peel off the backing paper five centimeters, then cut it off. The part with the cut base can be rolled to the door.
5️⃣After the top of the sticker is rolled on,
side markers can be removed. Lifting the sticker, peel off the paper ten centimeters and roll the sticker. To prevent the appearance of air bubbles, make sure that the adhesive layer does not spontaneously touch the surface.
6️⃣Important! You need to roll the sticker alternately from the center to the sides.
For rolling, use a squeegee or a plastic card.
7️⃣Important! When sticking a film on a water-soap solution or on water,it should be borne in mind that the remaining liquid will have to be rolled out under high pressure. At the same time, for two days, the sticker will not hold well. The liquid remains in surface irregularities, in roughness, this leads to delamination of the sticker. The edges of the film may peel off. To avoid this, it is necessary to cut off 2-3 mm stickers around the perimeter
8️⃣Important! If air bubbles still formed,
in no case should they be pierced with a needle. This will only make the situation worse. While the needle has pierced two layers of the sticker, it will have time to press the adhesive layer to the surface around the puncture and as a result air will remain. To get rid of bubbles, use a new stationery blade. Wipe it thoroughly of grease and flatly touch the edge of the bubble. After the puncture, squeeze the air with your fingernail towards the puncture.
9️⃣Important! If creases form, do not try to heat the sticker with a hair dryer.
and don't push it. Heat will cause the sticker material to expand and soften, which will only worsen the situation. Watch for creases during the knurling process, if they form, peel off the sticker, smooth it and roll it on.
