Vintage Postmodern Silver Grey Circle Cushioned Dining Chair In The Style Of Alessandro Mendini
A chair that's so quirky it will surely catch one's eye, this piece was made in the 1980s in Italy. It exhibits classic traits of minimalist design with expressions of playfulness and functionality, with a postmodern twist, highly reminiscent of Alessandro Mendini's 'Stelline' chair for Elam Uno. The seating is made out of black polyurethane (vegan leather) disks filled with a thin layer of foam. The tubular frame is made out of silver grey powder-coated steel. A must-have in one's living area, home office or at the dining table. The chair could also be used on one's patio or terrance or in one's garden so long as it will be well protected from the elements.
Condition: in good vintage shape. The seating is in excellent condition, with no stains, smells, rips or tears. The tubular frame is in fair shape, with light scuffing and scratches visible throughout and some flaking at the ends of the feet with some signs of oxidation beneath as well. The chair's frame as well as seating are both structurally intact and stable.
