Connector fits inside the flexible ring on Custom Softbands and can be easily transferred between softbands, so you only need 1 Connector (or 2 for bilateral). There’s three shapes of Connectors, one for Cochlear Baha, one for Oticon Ponto, and one for MED-EL Adhear.
* Custom Softband is made with 5/8 inch Fold Over Elastic (FOE) and lined with a second layer of elastic, or non-slip velvet elastic. Either option usually stays on better than the manufacture softband. Velvet stays on extra well, but is bit thicker.
* Choose Left or Right depending on which side your Baha/Ponto is on - this is so the pattern is right-side-up, when the slide adjuster is out of sight on the back of the head.
* Bilateral has 2 flexible Rings to hold 2 Connectors to hold 2 hearing aids, and has 2 slide adjusters to ensure a perfect fit.
* Solid color FOE is shiny on one side and matte on the other, so softband can be assembled with either side showing.
DIY Kit includes supplies to make 1 softband:
- 1 flexible o-ring (or 2 for bilateral)
- 1 slide adjuster (or 2 for bilateral)
- 22 in of 5/8in pattern elastic (or 16 & 9 for bilateral).
- 20 in of solid color 5/8in elastic or velvet to back the headband (or 14 & 7 for bilateral).
