Looking to give your home a cool Mid-Century New York City look, but you don't want to be bothered with cleaning up a damaged map? Well, now you can with our adaptation of a swank New York Subway System Map from the mid-20 century. Your cousins in Brooklyn will be sooooo jealous. (You don't have to tell them where you got it....)
We scanned our copy of the map and then cleaned it up for the black&white, inverted blue, and inverted black versions. We also offer a slightly gritty vintage color version which hews closely to the original map's colors. We offer you more variety for your money!
We have five sizes available:
16x24"
20x30",
24x36",
30x45",
36x54"
The smaller two sizes work best as decor pieces where wall space is at a premium, while the larger sizes are intended to deliver a dramatic impact to a room's look. The 24x36 size is that "happy middle ground" size.
However, we strongly recommend measuring your intended wall first, due to the cost and amount of the ink involved we cannot offer refunds or exchanges for wrong size or wrong color chosen. (We do, however, offer refunds and exchanges for post office damage. Please see our shop policies for more details.)
As we mentioned above, this map reprint was restored from a high resolution scan. We own a copy of the New York Subway System Map, which can be hard to find in really good shape.
We aren't able to offer framed/matted prints, but we recommend checking your local art/craft supply store and/or the following websites: www.craigframes.com, arttoframe.com, or framebridge.com. Craig Frames also has an Etsy storefront! Check them out.
We print on Aurora Fine Art with archival inks. The paper has a nice, slight watercolor paper texture feel to it.
Your print comes in a heavy-duty mailing tube via USPS priority mail, so you won't have to wait long.
