Here are (is?) a pair of hair sticks fashioned to resemble sewing needles. Or possibly some related craft. These guys bear a strong resemblance to crafting needles that I've seen over the years - but my particular crafting skills don't run in that direction; so I'm not as sure as I could be on the topic. I have little doubt that there is somebody out there who could educate me in such matters. :)
I cut these hair sticks out on a scroll saw from solid mahogany and hand shaped and sanded, I then applied Danish oil and paste wax for a smooth, natural finish that will insert with ease into any hair.
The total length of these sticks are approx. 7 1/2", with the working portion being approx. 5 1/2". They are approx 1/2" wide at the top, and approx. 9 mm thick.

If you are interested in this or any of my other hair sticks but might like a different wood or length than that shown, please let me know - I am happy to custom make any hair stick any way you'd like it. I try to keep my shop stocked with the following woods, and will not charge extra for their use: Oak, Maple, Cherry, Ash, Walnut and Mahogany. In addition, I have a limited supply of the following exotic hardwoods, or may be able to get them for an added fee: purpleheart, yellowheart, bocote, mora, padauk and leopardwood. Other woods may be available upon request. Please do not hesitate to ask! Feel free to share your thoughts or wishes with me; I'll work with you to make it happen.
