These voltmeters are bright and accurate. Every voltmeter sold by us is calibrated during assembly and double-checked again before shipping out to you. The display is a nice, vibrant orange, just like the OEM instruments. Other display colors are available, as well.
Note: The USB portion of this part is a direct plug-and-play with your E36, however the meter portion requires custom wiring. The USB circuit board doesn't draw any power while idle, however pre-wiring the meter would cause it to be always on, which is extremely annoying. Plenty of wire length is included for you to connect the meter however you'd like, however we recommend the wiring work be done by a professional.

ATTENTION Z3 OWNERS: A lot of Z3 owners order these for their cars and sometimes they fit, sometimes they don't. I'm working on throwing up Z3 specific listings, but in the meantime, please measure the switch or switch blank you want to replace with this charger. If the width is around 18.5mm (just short of 3/4"), this charger will fit as-is. If the width is around 23mm (just short of 1"), PLEASE let me know in the personalization section of the listing and I will send the correct size charger you need.
