"This knife is a bit of a departure from my normal output-- It was really an experiment. I started out making Bowie knives (and I still love them), and I wondered what a Bowie blade on a Japanese style knife would look like. I also wanted to know what a knife would look like wrapped in white paracord... So I made a "Japanese inspired Bowie with a white grip." I put the white cord over a layer of blue cord, which looked really cool. When I sealed the grip in fiberglass resin the white became only semi-opaque, so you can sort of see the blue through the white. It's not what I was going for-- but someone may like it. One good point is that I probably won't wrap white over any other color in the future, so it's probably a one-off. It's got a hammered brass menuki under the wrap. It's a pretty good-sized knife-- 5 3/8" blade, and a 4" grip. It comes with a hand-fitted carbon-fiber looking sheath featuring a pretty standard belt-clip.
