~ Sweet Magnolias Farm Vintage Finds ~
What a rare little find ... this Dixie Queen Stick Candy Tin is ... ! You gotta love the name !!!
This sweet Piece came from one of our road trips to Kansas City ...
I would gather it dates to the late 1800s or Very Early 1900's.
Made by the Huggins Candy Co out of good Old Nashville, TN ...
The Tin is in overall good condition considering it's age .. obviously it has wear throughout and the back side where more litho advertising was appears to have been removed over time.
Original Lid is intact and slides on and off with ease.
No holes or major dents...
I researched a little on the Huggins candy co... and found the ad in the last photo published here: https://www.newspapers.com/clip/28404768/alhuggins-candy-company/
Great Read !!!
It Measures:
6-1/8 inches diameter
4-3/8 inches tall
