Please look at my past works to see what poses will work for this project. This listing is for a single subject painting (email me regarding having more than one pet in your painting. Please note prices for multiple subject paintings are higher than single subject and a quote will be sent to you should you wish to explore having a custom piece with several pets included. Message me or email so we can iron out specifics.) Images need to be clear and well lit. Pet needs to be in a natural pose like the ones you see in my past works. I have painted hundreds of these pieces. Please no images of your pet rolling around, jumping, or in a full sprint. Please then let me know which of my works you are most drawn to. Do you want your pet in the grass or by the ocean or a lake? Do you want mountains? Do you want a sunset or the night moon or both (I can do both in one piece!) Do want it to be colorful or more monochromatic? Do you want flowers? Do you want fireflies? Any colors you want me to stay away from? Any colors you absolutely want to see more of in your painting? The more info, the better!! Once an image has been agreed upon and I have an idea of what you want your painting to look like, a sketch will be created on the canvas and the image will be sent to you. You may make changes through this process. Please note once a sketch has been okayed by you, no more changes will be allowed. My paintings are thick and I can not make changes to paint that thick. This is why I will need to ensure I have all the information necessary before starting the painting, and I will need to be sure you are happy with the sketch and direction before applying any paint. 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀𝙎 𝘾𝘼𝙉 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝘽𝙀 𝙈𝘼𝘿𝙀 𝙊𝙉𝘾𝙀 𝙄 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙍𝙏 𝘼𝙋𝙋𝙇𝙔𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙊𝙄𝙇 𝙋𝘼𝙄𝙉𝙏! Paintings take up to 2 weeks to complete once sketched. Once complete the final image will be sent to you. Paintings take 4-9 weeks to dry depending upon the size of the piece, the thickness of the paint, and how much yellow is used (yellow takes the longest to dry!!) If you ask for a piece with sunflowers, it will take every bit of 9 weeks to dry!! Please keep this in mind. All paintings are sent tracked and fully insured. I have been shipping paintings for 21 years and your painting will be securely packaged for transit. 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓 - The parties agree to the following terms: 1.𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭: Patron is commissioning a work of art created by the Artist. Patron agrees to supply clear, high quality images of the subject(s). Reference guidelines have been sent in initial correspondence between artist and patron. The photographic images of the subject will be used exclusively for the purpose of creating this work. If references are not on hand, patron will send links or images of examples of past paintings artist has completed that the patron is drawn to. Please send favored color combinations or colors to not be used in commissioned piece, if any. **Reference material will be agreed upon by artist and patron before commencement of commission. Changes of poses / reference material after contract has been signed is prohibited. Signature: The Artist has the right to put her name and the year of completion on the Work in a permanent fashion. Placement and size to be determined. Variations in appearance: Images sent via email / posted via social media are bound by the limitations of individual monitor settings on each computer. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor due to individual settings. Every effort is made to come as close to actual colors in each painting as possible. To ensure you are viewing the colors of the image as they are intended, please calibrate your monitor’s color settings. 2. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 & 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Artist agrees to furnish the Patron with progress reports during the creation of the work, which can include pictures of the work in progress. The pictures will be digital images and will be sent by email. These images will be posted to my Instagram and Facebook accounts as well, username sagittariusgallery. A progress report will be sent once a week. No reply will be construed as approval. Due to the nature of these works, revisions will be almost impossible. The paint is incredibly thick - if something jumps out at you though when I send you a progress report, please let me know asap. Revisions can only take place before I have begun using the palette knife. You will receive an image of the piece at this time. 3. 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: Artist will complete the commissioned work(s) within 2 weeks or the start of the piece with the final piece(s) deliverable upon receipt of the final payment installment and the required drying time of the painting. Paintings take anywhere from 4-9 weeks to dry, depending on oils used and how thick the paints have been applied. Paintings need to be fully dry before they can be placed into a box and shipped. Drying time may vary and patron will be updated throughout the drying process. 4. 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: Upon final payment for the Work, the Patron becomes the legal owner of the Work with all rights and privileges, with the exceptions noted below: -Patron may not create prints / print products / derivative works without permission from artist and Patron may never sell prints / print products / derivative works, ever. 5. 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: The Patron will not permit any intentional destruction, damage or modification of the work. 6. 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: The Artist is not responsible for changes in the artwork due to improper framing and/or presentation that results in deterioration or fading. This includes but is not limited to UV degradation, moisture, humidity, molds, infestation, stains, warping, shrinkage, expansion, or any other events that occur once the Patron takes possession of the Artwork. 7. 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: Artist reserves the common-law copyright to all works commissioned by Patron that are created by the Artist, including all reproduction rights and the right to claim statutory copyright. No work may be reproduced by the Patron without the prior written approval of Artist.
