This alluring Edwardian headpiece features dazzling handset Swarovski crystals, AAAA-quality cubic zirconia, and lustrous faux pearl drops that gracefully frame dainty crystal-encrusted lovers knots and faux pearl drops at the center. Additionally, our version includes key design elements from the original: 16 “topper” pearls and 16 pearl “drops,” the latter of which are uniquely set “en tremblant” to gently tremble or swing when the wearer moves her head. Platinum plated for durability and shine, a hairpin loop at both ends comfortably secures the tiara for easy wear on your special day. HISTORY
The original Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara (last photo) was made in 1818, and was so popular that it inspired at least six other versions of “The Knot Tiara.” Perhaps the most recognized is the Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara, which was worn by Princess Diana and now Duchess Kate (Queen Mary had this crown made in 1913, since she did not inherit the original). The original Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara was sold in 1981 to a German noble family where it remains today.
