Our limited edition Giclée print ref art 0006 -HG6540 is a hi resolution reproduction of an original hand painted artwork. This art was designed to scale for the pattern's conversion into woven fabric. A small insight into the fashion of the day.
Ready to be framed, the print, on 300gsm textured off-white card measures;
internal measurements 26cm x 32cm (10 1/4" x 12 1/2")
print board measures 29.7cm x 42cm (11 1/2" x 16 1/2")

The original art was acquired from weaver Herbert Green's, Silsden, West Yorkshire, UK. archive when the company ceased trading in early 2000's. The artwork was used in the 1960's by textile design company Walbank and Parkin of Bradford, who generated the jacquard loom cards the weaver required. The design may have been painted by one of Walbank and Parkin employees or by an independent designer working on their behalf or for the weaver, Herbert Green. It is also possible that the artwork was commissioned by the weavers' end fabric wholesale customer who sold fabrics!
