The box closes with a metal latch and is large enough to store up to 350 cards so you can fit all your recipes. If you just have a few recipe cards, that's fine too since there's a wooden baffle in the middle of the box so that your cards don't fall over.
The box has two slots along the top lid, allowing you to easily read your recipes while you cook and keeping the cards off the counter so they stay nice and clean and dry.
From a design perspective, the box is finished with a distressed vintage look that will look great on your counter.
The card set includes 50 double-sided recipe cards and 12 recipe card dividers plus a cooking measurement conversion card. The cards are made of a thick cardstock (350 gsm) that have a slight water-resistant coating so they can withstand splashes and continue looking great for a long time.
