SUGGESTED FABRIC: For bias-cut pants, the most suitable fabrics are those that are lightweight, drapey, and have a fluid handfeel, because the bias cut enhances fluidity, cling, and movement of the fabric. The best choices will fall elegantly along the body. Some excellent choices are: silk satin, viscose challis, tencel, a good polyester (itimate silk) satin/crepe. MATERIALS & TOOLS: - Fabric: For fabric with a common width of 130–140 cm (51–55"), you’ll need approximately 2 meters (2.2 yards) to make a pair of bias-cut pants. For precise yardage based on your size, please refer to the Fabric Requirement Table in the instruction booklet. - Matching thread - 1m of elastic band that is 1.5 cm wide. - Your trusty sewing machine - Overlock machine ( can replace by zigzag stitch on domestic sewing machine) - Safety pin or bodkin - Iron & ironing board - Scissors or rotary cutter - Ruler/Measuring tape *DIFFICULTY: This pattern is rated for confident beginners — ideal if you already have some basic sewing experience and have completed a few beginner-friendly projects.
