Mjolnir Thor Hammer
Here is my rendition of Mjolnir, Thor's Hammer from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, at 1:1 scale ratio.
I paid close attention to detail, coming up with a 3D file that:
- is 100% accurate to the movie version.
- is very easy to assemble, without visible seams, just like it was built for the movies.
- includes leather texture on the handle pieces.
- includes 3 extra handles for you to choose from if you don't like the first option. You can choose depending on your skill assembling pieces or your taste. Two of these versions don't have leather texture, so you can use your own real leather.
This is just the 3D files, in STL format (Not a physical product). It includes.
- DiskRunes: the cylindrical piece with the mythical engraved runes.
- SpineTop, SpineMiddle, SpineBottom: the main structure of the hammer, and why it is so easy to assemble! You'll need a 36cm long and 8 mm in diameter pipe to connect them.
- HeadMiddle: main part of the hammer head.
- HeadSide: the other piece of the head. Print 2 of these.
- RunePanel: panel with runes that you insert on HeadSide. Print 8 of theese.
- HandleConnectingPiece: first piece of the handle.
- HandleRing: metal rings on the handle. Print 9 of these. I recommend printing the rings at 100% infill.
- HandleRingTop: last ring of the handle. Print just 1. 100% infill!
- HandleLeatherBottom: first leather piece of the handle.
- HandleLeatherMiddle: middle pieces of the handle. They easily connect together. Print 8 of theese.
- HandleLeatherSecondTop: second leather piece from the top. Print just 1.
- HandleLeatherTop: top leather piece that attatches to the pommel. Print just 1.
- Pommel: closing piece of the handle, where you must attatch a leather strap and start spinning the hammer around! (Leather strap not included)
- EXTRA HANDLES: The last 2 zips include 3 different handles. As shown in the pictures:
- First Version: it is a smooth handle with separated rings, so you can wrap your own leather. There is a space of 1 mm between the rings and the handle, so you can use that for your leather. It includes two files which are guides, so you know how to space out the rings, without the use of any awkward ruler!
- Second Version: it is similar to the first version, but this time the rings are fixed to the handle. I have included A4 templates of the bits of real leather that would go in between the rings. Just print that image in A4, cut out the templates and trace them on your faux leather!
- Third Version: it is similar to the default handle, but this time all the pieces are connected, including the rings. I have separated the handle in two files, for easier printing. You will have to mask the rings when you paint it. I recommend printing this at 0'05 layer height.
