** ATTENTION **
Please do not leave the name blank, even if your pet's name is the same as what is shown in the listing. Every tag can be personalized with any name, so when the name is missing from the personalization, we can never be 100% sure if you want the name from the listing engraved, or if it was left blank by mistake. Because of this, starting 3/18/24, orders placed with a name missing from the personalization will be cancelled so that you can place a new one with the exact name you want engraved on it. (*Note: If there is something else that you want on the front besides a name, or if you want it left blank, please message us and provide those details to ensure the order is not cancelled.)
** And please remember: the more info you include to be engraved the smaller the text has to be. Please keep this in mind when ordering, especially with the small tags. If you use up all the available characters on a small tag the font size has to be considerably reduced. So for the best readability on small tags we recommend up to two phone numbers, one number and a very short phrase, or one number and your street address with street suffix abbreviations and zipcode only, no city and state.**

All of our tags are made of durable solid metal. They are never plated, so the color won't wear off. And to avoid unnecessary chemicals around your fur-baby, we never seal them with lacquers or other chemicals. Nickel doesn't patina, but may slightly darken over time. While both raw copper and brass both darken and patina naturally. If you like this effect, do nothing. But if you want to restore the metal from time to time, you can clean them with any polishing cloth.
Nickel, brass, and copper are also all non-ferrous metals, which means that they don't contain iron and can never rust. (Unlike stainless steel which is only rust resistant because the rust barrier can be disturbed by abrasions and even the fiber laser engraving process itself.).
Please be sure to double check your personalization for spelling and info accuracy. We typically begin working on your tag within a few business days after purchasing. So, there isn't a lot of time for corrections once the order is placed. But if you notice a mistake and need to change something, please message us ASAP and if it hasn't been engraved, we are happy to cancel the order so you can place a new one with correct information.
If you would like to see how your pets name looks in the tag font and how it fits with the design, we are happy to provide a proof of the front of the tag design upon request. Please send the request for a proof in a direct Etsy message at the time of ordering. Proof requests left as notes on the order won't be seen until your tag is ready to be made and will cause a delay in the shipping of your tag. If a proof is requested, processing time starts once the proof is approved. If no proof is requested, one will not be sent.

All info on the back of the tag will be in the Calibri font and we will center and format line breaks on the tag to fit best. Addresses, phone numbers, and microchip numbers will use their respective standard formats, and all other info will be formatted with line breaks to be the most readable. This means we will not split up phone numbers, or microchip numbers, and street addresses will be split in accordance with regular address formatting. All other info, including email addresses, may be split up to fit best on the tag. If you have have a specific formatting request, please send it to us in an Etsy message.
