This is one of most gorgeous Navajo Squash Blossoms I have ever had the pleasure of owning! Tons of sweet details starting with the stunning breathtakingly beautiful stones! The turquoise is some of the best quality you can find and I believe it is from the # 8 Mine but will leave it to you to decide for yourself! The colors and matrix are just breathtakingly beautiful with their incredible blue colors and chocolate to black matrix! Each hand cut and set stone sits in a thick sterling hand wrought sawtooth bezel that is decorated with applique sterling swirls and applied "raindrops". Have you noticed the unusual blossoms and that each one compliments the stone in it and that each bezel was created just for the unique shape of that stone in it? Nice.... please note that the stones graduate slightly in size for a very pleasing balance! Love the dramatic and large Naja with a swinging blossom pendant! The natural stones have a beautiful warm unusual Blue color with a very strong and striking matrix! The stones are large, sit high and tight in their bezels and graduate in size from roughly 1/2" long to just under 3/4". There are 12 generous blossoms that measure roughly from 1 3/4" long and with width's that very slightly depending on the stone and the setting the artist created for it! Please note the older chiseled arms holding the pendants! This style changed later since it was labor intensive! The impressive double crescent Naja is set with 7 matching stones and measures 3" tall by 2 1/4" wide! I just LOVE how the artist used the largest stone to crown the Naja! I will be adding another photo of the necklace being worn and see if I can figure out how to add a video of this gorgeous necklace!!!
The entire necklace is strung on a thick sterling chain with two rows of well made bench beads and is covered in a soft patina! ps.. please note the "splotches" of silver on the back of the Naja that happened during the creation of this sweet squash!! Love this!!!
The necklace measures 27" long with a 15 1/2" hanging length and weighs an impressive but comfortable 175 Grams! You can wear this squash all day long in comfort!
This stunning necklace is not Hallmarked given it's age but does have some light barely visible letters I believe are AUZRZ on the back. Perhaps for Arizona Reservation? More then likely from the Pawn Shop and not an artist.
