The original, and smaller, of the 2 flattening jigs we sell, this handy jig works with your compact trim router to flatten material up to 13.5" wide. The piece slides on your table top and is perfect for flattening end grain cutting boards, small boards and slabs, and cleaning up epoxy overflow. The setup allows you to flatten boards that are 1 inch thick, but adding shop made risers will allow you to work on any side boards. Each kit comes with an acrylic base plate that fits the jig and allows you to see what you are flattening as you work. The baseplate is pre-drilled to accomodate most trim router screw patterns.
*YOU MAY NEED TO DRILL YOUR OWN HOLES IN BASE PLATE TO MATCH THE SCREW PATTERN ON YOUR ROUTER.
Order with or with out the baseplate - if you do not get the baseplate you will need to make some adjustments to your jig for your router to fit.

Universal baseplate 1: This is the original baseplate. Fits most Ryobi, makita, or Bosch trim routers and others
Universal Baseplate 2: Fits most Dewalt, Milwaukee, Ridgid, Makita, or Porter Cable and others.
No hole: This has the center hole and the corner holes and allows you to drill holes for your own machine. allows you to drill holes for your own machine.
Note - you can apply wax, wood oil, or other finish to the rails to assist with sliding, but it is not necessary.
