A great Andrew Marc black leather jacket. Made in the early 1980s exclusively for Wilsons 'the leather experts'.
High-quality heavy-weight leather, fully lined. The jacket is in superb vintage condition with no damage to leather or lining, just nicely matured and mellowed.
This is a very large jacket (I normally fit an XL, and this is very roomy for me, although it doesn't look overlarge when worn), but there is no size label, so please use the measurements to determine the fit!
Pit to Pit is 25", Collar to Hem is 31", and the sleeves are 25" Shoulder to Cuff.
All our items are vintage/worn and may show signs of previous wear. Any significant wear, damage or marks will be noted and photographed. Please inspect the photos carefully. The sizing of vintage garments is subject to many variables, so please use the actual garment measurements and compare them with a similar item that fits you well to determine fit.
The people of London have always been at the forefront of fashion. Those that could afford to, bought from the top French fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Dior, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Balmain, or the Italians such as Versace, Gucci, Armani and Valentino. Later UK designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Mary Quant and Burberry would also vie for their custom.
Those with smaller budgets could still be on trend with street fashions such as Mod, Rocker, Northern Soul, Glam Rock, Punk and New Romantics. Denim has been a perennial favourite, particularly if it has originated in the USA, with brands like Levi’s, Lee and Wrangler generally favoured over local brands such as Lee Cooper and Brutus.
