We have been in business for many, many years. I started this company because I wanted a beautiful, all wood map to add our travels to. The majority of my business has been word of mouth and I take great care and pride to honor the memories of others as if they were my own. I spent many years perfecting these maps and only recently started an Etsy page. I wanted to ensure a quality product prior to starting a shop on Etsy. Because of word of mouth and the quality of our maps, I have been in business, and growing, for a very long time. One does not manage to stay in business, for as long as I have, without a quality product and good customer service.
Recently, I have received negative reviews. It broke me. I have never, in all the years I have been working and perfecting these maps, received any type of negative feedback.
It has come to my attention, those leaving poor feedback, are purchasing our maps with the intent of DIYing them. PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY. If you do NOT know how to edit photos, are not a crafty individual, or fully understand HOW to put photos on a map (ANY MAP, NOT JUST MINE) then you need a service that provides this for you or you need to purchase a different style of map. PHOTOS DO NOT FIT properly to states. Trust me when I tell you this. I have been doing this for almost 10 years and they require lots of work. It is not a simple cut and paste project.
Our photo's are true to our maps. If you can see the photos on the states in our examples, then yes, you can see the photos on your map. It's not like we are individuals trying to get rich quick, pull one over on you, or scamming individuals.
As a customer, PLEASE read the full description of the product, look at all the photos provided, read the Q&A section and fully understand what you are purchasing prior to purchasing an item.
I believe in transparency and stand behind the work we do. Because I want to be 100% transparent, I want all customers to be able to freely leave reviews as they see fit. Our 100% wood maps are personalized with your favorite wording or family name. Our Memory Maps come with: backboard (24x16), quote or family name, 50 blank, attached US States (14×8). Check out our stencil that's available as well. Our backboards are made of LIGHT, reclaimed lumber. Due to the wood weathering process, our Baltic wood backboards are extremely light. They do not require a stud in the wall to hang on. They are not light because they are less quality, they are light because they are repurposed, weathered wood. This is intentional so your product is not heavy, requiring more shipping cost and a stud to hang on.
Photos are shipped through the mail to your door and all the work of making your photo fit is taken out of your hands! Add photos from each of the 50 States to capture a lifetime of memories. Create a one-of-a-kind heirloom you and your family will love for generations to come. No cut and pasting with our maps. Current travels are included in pricing and future state travels can be updated as you make memories.

We dedicate long hours to editing and correcting photos to ensure they fit absolutely perfect for you on your memory map. Most do not understand your favorite photos do not "fit" correctly on to a map, its not as simple as applying to a premade map. We take all the hassle out of making your memories beautiful for a lifetime.
Our beautiful state pieces use digital images to be printed on to the wood. A UV protective coating is applied and then they are cut to shape and sealed. Our wood state pieces can be sent through the mail and arrive at your door with an easy peel and stick application. Remove the backing and place in their respective location to add a 3D affect to your map.
**DISCLAIMER**
All wood used is reclaimed lumber. All packaging is reused cardboard and packaging materials. We want to do our best to reduce our carbon footprint while ensuring you receive a beautiful, handcrafted, wood map.
Although we use the same stain for each, coloration of stain may vary, as with any wood. Some reclaimed lumber becomes dark and some light. This is the nature of the beast when using wood.
All our state pieces are cut identical. There is some variation in how it is adhered to the wood. The state pieces may have tiny gaps in between each state, this allows for better picture placement and is not a defect.
Wood wording is adhered using a clear glue and must be adhered well for shipping and longevity. There may be some glue seepage, which is why we use clear glue.
OUR PRODUCTS ARE HANDMADE, not made by machinery and factory settings, so there will be variations. They are listed on Etsy because they are handmade. If you want a product without small imperfections due to being handcrafted, this is not the product for you.
Etsy takes almost 25% of all sales. Materials cost us approximately 50% of the retail price. Our map pricing is based on competitive pricing and we make about 25% of the paid price after paying Etsy and materials cost (roughly $2.75/hr. to make your map).
