I inherited this lamp from my mother who passed at age 93. She always had it sitting in her bedroom, but never actually lit it. I don't recall if there was a shade to it when she had it, but of course had one at one time.
I feel its a beautiful decor piece to highlight a table as I have over Christmas or with colored water in the base on Valentine's Day as a centerpiece.
I believe it is Depression Glass. It does not appear to have any cracks or chips.
