Our children’s toy boxes are made by Alpine Furniture based in the heart of the Peak District, Derbyshire. They are made from solid pine wood with dovetailed joints and then hand painted by ourselves in Farrow and Ball eggshell paint. All of our toy boxes have soft closing lids and finger cut out so no trapped fingers.
This listing is for our larger toy box at 900mm wide with just the name. We can however make them to any size you require and do other images. Please see our other listings or please message me for details and prices. Once you have chosen your design you can then choose what colour you would like the box from the following:
Wevet, School House White, Blackened, Skimming Stone, Pavilion Grey, Calluna, Plummett, Parma Grey, Pitch Blue, Cinder Rose, Calke Green, Mizzle, Peignoir, Dayroom Yellow, Naturally waxed, Light Oak, or Mid Oak.
You can then decide on the lid colour, naturally waxed, light oak or mid oak.
We can also engrave a short message under the lid, add handles or paint the engraving in a different colour. A message under the lid and handle both cost an extra £20 each and to have the engraving painted a different colour costs an extra £40. If any is required please let me know and I can send an extra invoice for this after you have bought the box.

We can ship to any mainland Uk address or you can collect from us free of charge. We use 2 delivery options, one is with our own couriers and the other with Parcelforce 1-2 working days. When sending with parcelforce we do send the lid as as a separate parcel due to their size guidelines. This does need re attaching to the box. There are screws and holes to show where it needs to go so it's very straightforward. The delivery option is decided by us not the customer.
All our toy boxes are made from solid pine and hand painted in an eggshell paint. Whilst we use knotting and resin blockers there is no guarantee that over time natural wood knots will not show through the paint and may need re painting. This is not something we offer and will need to be done by the consumer. Due to our boxes being made from a natural wood product there may be signs of imperfections and defects that add to the character and authenticity of the box.
Please note that we don't label our boxes with what colour they are as a picture on a screen can look completely different from when you receive it. The same box can even look a different colour in 2 separate photos. The paint we use is Farrow and Ball. If you go to their website they describe their colours very well and you can order a chart from them. If you choose Gold or Silver engraving this also may be a different shade to the photos advertised.
