This custom grip is designed to perfectly fit version I, II, III, IV, an V of the Sony DSC-RX100 compact cameras. For the newer Mark VI VII, please see my other listing. Ergonomics and handling of the camera are greatly improved while only adding 6 grams to the weight of the camera. The grip does not protrude further than the camera lens so there is no impact on overall size. Mounting to your camera is via a pre-applied layer of 3M VHB adhesive. Each grip is custom 3D printed in your choice of 16 colors. Color option #1 is a Black Carbon Fiber Reinforced Nylon. The carbon fibers are not visible, but this material produces a grip with a distinctive textured satin finish. Color options #2-16 are all in a smooth semi-gloss finish using a bio-based and biodegradable plastic. The sample photos depict #1 Carbon Fiber, #7 Pink, and #12 Indigo on a RX100 III. Custom colors may be available upon request. Mounting your new grip is very easy... 1. Your camera and grip must be at room temperature, or warmer. 2. Before removing the adhesive backing, test fit your grip to determine the correct placement. 3. Clean the mounting area on your camera with the included alcohol wipe. 4. Peel the protective backing from the adhesive. 5. Slowly bring the grip and camera together. 6. Once the grip is on the camera, firmly squeeze the two together for at least one minute. 7. Congratulations! Your camera is ready for use. The 3M adhesive is considered "permanent", but the grip is removable. Open the battery door and remove the battery and memory card. Using a hair dryer, gently heat the camera all around the grip as well as inside the battery compartment. After a minute or two of heating, you should be able to gently peel the grip from the camera.
