This beautiful satin finish aromatic red cedar flute is available in the keys of pentatonic minor F#, G, or A, or C (low to high). They range from 22” to 17” long, depending on key, and have a beautiful rich, mellow tone. This is one of the easiest types of flute to learn, keeping in mind a soft air flow rather than blowing hard. The instrument itself is made in the southwestern U.S. and I add the custom overlay work, which is finished with a protective coat of satin varnish. I create the design overlay near the mouthpiece end and front sides using genuine walnut and iridescent blue/green abalone shell. I also add complementary buckskin wraps
I can add other custom decorations on request, but message before ordering to discuss and for any additional cost.
Here are a couple of short demo videos of me playing these flutes. You’ll have to copy and paste, as they won’t hotlink.

It is played in the forward manner of the North American Plains style, with an adjustable cedar fetish. The 6-hole fingering is much like many other flutes, and finger combinations as well as an occasional half hole covered allow all the notes within its range. The sound is rich and ethereal, and is easily achieved with a bit of practice. Not suited to small child-size fingers.
