They are made of felt and hot glued onto a pipe cleaner that you can fit on your elf's head.
It is very simple to put on. You place the ears around the elf's head and twist the ends to fit your elf's head and if you wish cut off the excess with scissors. You can use it on the hat or directly on the head.
