Windset Studio is a teacher-owned business located in Reno, Nevada. We live our lives with the philosophy that the environment we create is really an extension of who we are. Everything we put into our boards exemplifies this philosophy - from the attention to detail, materials, tools, and the lumber we meticulously hand select.
UNIQUENESS
To make each board, we hand-pick each piece of walnut with very high standards and select only the best pieces with their own unique character, figuring, and coloration. Therefore, each board is a little different (i.e. wood will have different grains, patterns, etc). Any sizable cracks, knots, or voids are filled with black epoxy. A high level of care and attention go into each of our boards, and our goal is for you to enjoy the products we make with the same enthusiasm we had creating them, and that they add beauty to your home as they have in ours. Please know we do our absolute best to match the dimensions but lengths & widths can vary in either direction by roughly 1" on occasion.
CARE
-Highly Recommended!- Keep your board looking incredible with our board-care kit! The kit contains our handmade conditioner made from a perfect blend of mineral oil & beeswax, a lint-free microfiber cloth, and care instructions to maintain your beautiful board for years to come!
• Avoid scrubbing the board vigorously during cleaning, as it may lead to fading of the finish.
• Never soak the board or place it in the dishwasher.
• Prevent deep-pigmented foods from coming into direct contact with the board to prevent potential staining.
• As with any porous material, food usage is at your own risk.
