I set out to design an accessory for my WorkSharp knife sharpener to improve the ease and function. Getting the angle set and consistant improves the the sharpening results.
First is the support that prevents flex in the clamp which will keep the angle consistant if you have a little pressure or a lot while you hone. It is simply slid in from the front and wedges, no need to screw or adjust height. When ready to flip, slide it out, flip the knife and slide it in.
Second are the angle setting guides. This allows you to replicate the exact angle each time you go back to hone your knife. No need to make fine adjustments or remove extra metal because your angle isn't exactly perfect. Just snap the angle guide on the screw and adjust until it rests gently on the guide. Includes the guides for all of the marked angles. These could be cut down if you prefer an angle between the standard angles. You will receive total of 2 sets with slightly different sizes because it appears there may be slight change at some point where the angle doesn't quite match. Can use the extras as custom angles, trim them to the right size or keep as spares.
Each device is available on own or as the full kit. These are 3D printed in PLA on demand so may take a day or two to produce.
