Lovely Victorian-styled drop earrings, with a handpainted bee, golden Swarovski crystal and floral earwires.
Art Nouveau design used a lot of natural elements, with a particular fondness for plants and insects. A highly-detailed bee sits on an ornate Art Nouveau base, decorated with small flowers. I've painted the bee with alcohol inks to bring out the stripes in its body and the shimmering iridescence of its wings, and added a Swarovski crystal in metallic gold to the bottom of the earring - a drop of honey, perhaps? The earrings hang from bronze-plated leverback earwires which feature a small flower which the bee is flying towards.
