I created this brooder for my partner who recently purchased ducks. After searching for pre-made brooders and plans I found that most were heavy, expensive, or made of wood (ducks are very messy and our brooder needs to be hosed out daily). We decided to make our own brooder that was sturdy, light weight, economical, and cat proof (our cat, Jack, is a curious fellow).
