It's knitted top-down and comes in 9 sizes from 28"-62" bust, with suggestions on how you can customize it for a better fit. There are optional horizontal short-row bust darts and shaping for the underbust. The top is held closed with three i-cords at the bust, underbust, and waist; the underbust and waist ties allow you to cinch them for a closer fit. The body is finished with a ruffled peplum hem and i-cord edging. It can be worn alone as a flirty cropped tank, or layered as a vest.
Gauge: 18st & 26 rows in 4” / 10 cm.
Yarn: Wool & The Gang Shiny Happy Cotton (100% cotton, worsted/aran weight). You can substitute any yarn that meets gauge. See last photo slide for yarn estimates per size.
Skill level: Recommended for intermediate+ knitters. There are some parts of the pattern where you need to keep track of multiple increases at one time, for instance.
Sizing: The pattern recommends -1” to +1” of ease at the bust. If your bust is proportionately larger than represented in the sizing chart, the pattern recommends how to customize the bust and waist for a better fit.
