Here is a Kabar 1200 hunting knife, which I believe was made in the 1980s. It is marked Kabar, with 1200 USA below the company name.
The blade is carbon steel and sharp. I sharpened the knife by hand to 5,000 grit and stropped thereafter.
The handle is made of stacked leather and plastic spacers. It is tight. Nothing is loose. The pommel is in good shape and was not used to pound in camping stakes.
It measures 8" overall and the blade is just under 4 3/16" long.
It weighs 2.4 ounces or 69 grams. LIGHT!
I have seen these sell between $40 and $75. I'm going a little low.
