Book with pen slot style generally has the pen slot on the left side, except for iPad Mini 6.7 8.3", iPad 11/10 Gen 10.9", iPad Pro 2024 11" & 13"; Flip with pen slot style most of the pen slots are on the left side, except for iPad 11/10 Gen 10.9", iPad Air 6/7 13", iPad Pro 2024 11" & 13" and iPad Pro 2020/2021/2022 12.9".
*The pen slots are designed on the left side, which prevents the pen from charging for a long time, which is better for the iPad battery.
Note: there is a groove on the right side of the protective case, which can be used for charging (without removing the case).
