Ice Cream Bean - Inga edulis is a fascinating plant. The leaf formation is very attractive and the plant can be kept to shrub size, or let to mature into a full size tree. The pods are about 6 - 8 inches long and when prized open have a wonderful fluffy candy floss that covers the bean inside and actually tastes like vanilla ice cream. The beans are quite large and we grew our trees now 3 years old from these beans. We do not sell the beans however, and in this offering you will receive 4 fresh cuttings for rooting. Rooting hormone and light potting soil are recommended for rooting. If the weather is very hot you can choose priority shipping.
