1. Please send an image of your recipe via Etsy message or email us at recipe@forest-decor.com along with your name and order number. Include a photograph of your loved one if you'd like to engrave the photo next to the recipe as well.
2. For the best outcome, please send the photograph in high-resolution. Please note we digitally outline all text on your recipe. Therefore, if your recipe is worn off, has stains, or lines, no worries. We will take care of it all to ensure the highest quality engraving.
3. If you have any specific requests or comments about your order, please include them in the optional field below. ** Note all recipes are engraved on the side with juice groove unless otherwise requested (if you've purchased a board with juice grooves)
Please select your preferred board type from the dropdown menu carefully. The main listing images are examples only; you'll receive the board type, shape, and size you choose. Options include maple, cherry, walnut, or bamboo. Unless specified otherwise (w/JG or JG), these boards do not include juice grooves. 16x11 bamboo boards with juice grooves are available in lighter (L) or darker (D) bamboo. - Choosing a walnut cutting board for engraving may result in significantly less clarity for both text and portraits, especially when compared to lighter wood options like maple and cherry. If you have concerns about this, we suggest opting for a maple or cherry board. Please be aware that while we would like to predict the exact outcome in advance, the appearance of the portrait on the walnut board can often only be determined after the engraving process.

At our store, we use high-quality American-sourced lumber for our custom maple, cherry and walnut cutting boards. Before engraving, each board is thoroughly inspected and sanded to ensure a smooth surface. A high-quality food-grade mineral oil finish is applied to each board so that it is ready to use immediately upon delivery.
Please note that every cutting board is unique since they are made from different types of wood. Therefore, slight color variations may occur, resulting in engraving that appears lighter or darker than the listing photo.

We provide a small care instruction card with all of our orders. To maintain the quality of the cutting board, do NOT put it in the dishwasher or submerge it in water. Hand wash the board and dry it immediately.
We recommend that you do not cut on the engraved side of the board, which is the display side. If you purchase a juice groove board, please note that our designs are engraved on the juice groove side unless you clearly request otherwise in the "Notes to Seller" section.
