This plant is classified as invasive species and cannot be shipped to the following states: LA, TX, 100 Pieces Of Giant Duckweed Spirodela Polyrhiza. Grown in my own aquariums. Great alternative to regular duckweed. It grows 4-8x the size of common duckweed making it easier to remove. Even though this plant is the largest of the duckweeds it is just as fast of a grower and can quickly cover the surface of your aquarium if not removed consistently. Under high light the mature older plants will turn a deep purple under the bottom of the leaves. This plant is happy in all light ranges, but grows bigger in size with more light. This plant is ok with moving water as long as the leaves are not constantly wet or being dunked under water. Giant duckweed is great for fry and pulling nutrients out of your aquarium! Buyer is responsible to research the legality of plants in your state. Please message me within 3hrs of package being delivered for dead plants. I will replace your order. Do your plants have snails? We try not to have snails/pests but it happens, we remove any visible imperfections before shipment however to be 100% certain we suggest that you either do an Alum dip, Bleach dip, and/or wash the plants. Anytime you add something new to an aquarium it is important to rinse it off before adding just to be safe. Keep in mind snails are completely harmless and very beneficial to aquariums, they do not eat plants, snails are detritivores meaning they will only eat dead and decaying matter not living healthy plant leaves. Alum dip: used at 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. Mix the solution in a bucket and leave the plants in it for 12-24 hours then rinse the plants off. Put a light above the bucket for the plants if you plan on leaving them for a while. Bleach dip: keep in mind bleach is very harsh so the alum dip is the better option. For bleach dips do take 1 part bleach and 20 parts water mix in a bucket, dip the plant for 5-10 seconds then remove and rinse the plants off. Certain plants like moss and jungle val should not be beach dipped as it can severly damage them. Ratings and feedback: Our customers are very important to us. I keep snails, and bladder snails in all my aquariums. There is a possibility some eggs may be on plants.
