This is a miniature 1/12 scale version of a Vintage Rainlamp for your dollhouse.
This is a replica of the original Rainlamps that were very popular in the 1970's. I have done my best to stay true to the original design and size. Whilst the lamp is fully lit, the "rain" is simulated via thin thread. The full sized versions use oil that flows down these threads to simulate rain, but in this case, it is so small that the oil drops would not be in scale.
The sculpture is finished with colored metallic waxes in brass and silver whilst the rest of the lamp is painted with real metal paint and then given a green gold patina.
As this is a custom order, you can write to me on Etsy messenger with the type of finish you would prefer and I will be happy to customize it for you.
It will take me about two weeks to finish your commission but I have added some extra time to this listing to factor in pending orders and commissions.
This lamp is a faithful reproduction of it's real world counterpart. The lamp is true to scale and created with extreme attention to detail. It is lit with a single bulb. The lamp has been designed by me digitally and 3D printed in clear resin. After the print is cleaned, the parts are carefully hand painted.
The lamp is fully wired with 12V compatible incandescent lighting. The bulb is rated to have a 5,000 hour burn time and can easily be changed when it goes out.

About me: I have been an artist for over 20 years, working on different aspects of dollhouse miniatures and fantasy sculptures. My work has appeared in the International Doll Collectors Magazine in Oct/Nov 2006 and the "A for Artistic" Winter 2021 edition. I live in a tropical paradise called Trivandrum, which is in South India with my husband, daughter and fluffy little Shih Tzu called Sparky who has us all wrapped around his little paw. I was recently awarded IGMA Artisan status in the category 3D Printing-Accessories-Lighting by the Guild selection committee.
