Gem Geek Notes: Most of these beads appear to be a Quartz variety, but the accuracy of that label will depend on just how Gem Geek-y you want to get. I'm in the process of getting some gemologist feedback on classification. Material like this goes by a variety of trade names - some call it "Jade" or "Candy Jade" or "Chalcedony" (none of which I'm crazy about as there can be an incorrect association of rarity, while others may reference Agate or Jasper. I personally think the most correct term is probably "Quartzite". The opaque, light Turquoise colored stone is likely to be Howlite, but may also be a reconstituted or composite material, though I don't *think* that's the case.
