This is a unique copy, which has been completely recovered over the original hardcovers with newsprint of the era. In Good antique condition. Pages all appear to be present. Some hand-written recipes on pages 625—632. Spine has had some repair (glued.) 865 pages includes Index. Heavy vintage patina.
The Title Page, with any dates, is missing. From the author's preface pages, we know Dr Chase died in March of 1885. Therefore, this copy was published between the mid 1880's and early 1900's.
