Mahogany-red succulent leaves and rosy-red flowers on this easy-care groundcover. The tiny clusters of flowers appear in the summer. Grows 4-6” tall x 18” spread. Drought and heat tolerant. Provide well-draining soil in full sun. Perennial in USDA Hardiness Zones 4-9.
Seed sowing instructions: Sow seed indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Use small pots and sterile seed starter mix. Pre-moisten the starter mix after filling the pots. Sow 5-7 seeds per container. The seed is exceptionally small and can be mixed with a tiny amount of sand to help distribute it. After sowing the seed do not cover them, just press into starter mix. Keep moist by spritzing with water, but not wet, until they germinate. To sow outdoors wait until garden soil temps are 70 deg. F. Select a site with well-draining soil, loosen the top 1-2” of soil, remove weeds and gently broadcast the seeds over the soil. Lightly press into the soil and keep continuously moist until germination.
All seed counts are approximate, but we strive to overfill pkts.
