Each of our hats are hand made from scratch to measure and to order. All our sales are final. Custom orders are not subject to refund or cancellation. However, it is still possible to return us the hat to make any changes to it in case if you’ve made a size / fit error after having followed the detailed instructions for taking head measurements found at the end of each listing and on the web-site CHAPOLALA.COM. SIZE
Here’s how you measure your head to determine your hat size. With a soft measuring tape, measure the circumference of your head right on the line where you want your hat to sit – one finger above your ears, middle of the forehead and around the widest part of the back of your head. Don’t tighten it too much. Double check your measurement.

FIT
Head oval can be “Standard oval” or “Long oval”. This corresponds to the shape of your skull as if you watched yourself from above.
80% of our clients wear the standard oval. However, those who have narrow temples and a more pronounced back of the head should go for the long oval.

After you'd have placed an order, we will exchange an e-mail to determine your exact head oval to ensure the best fit of the hat possible and to ensure the brim design is preserved when wearing the hat.
MATERIAL
Wool felt is affordable and basic material for a hat. It is on the heavier side and not intended to be worn during rain.
Rabbit fur felt hats are premium choice for a hat. They are light weight, reasonably water-resistant and would last.

Please note, that every handmade hat turns out unique. The way how fire or pigment/dye patina lies is slightly different each time. This means hat that each hat is similar to the reference hat, but not identical.
Please note that there can be a slight difference between the shades of one of the same colours of wool and of fur felt / raffia or brisa straw hats. Nonetheless, we have done our best to select felt shades that are the closest possible.
Equally, the fur felt shade card has more choice compared to the wool felt.
