Seed/Plant info: Big, beautiful, and oh-so-chocolatey and sweet! These large oblong peppers turn from green to a deep, rich brown, offering that extra burst of sweetness. Just like dark-colored tomatoes, these deep-hued peppers have an even more intense flavor. They’re not only stunning to look at but also a joy to grow! Developed by Elwyn Meader and introduced by the University of New Hampshire Agricultural Experiment Station in 1965. One unique characteristic about this variety is that they grow very well in northern gardens and cooler climates. Only 65 days to harvest! Capsicum annuum.
