Finally! After countless months of designing and tweaking to get her just right, I’ve finally finished my massive life size Audrey 2 prop replica! She. Is. Huge. I really wanted to create one that would capture the look and feel of Audrey 2 as she grew larger in the film. I wanted her sheer size to give off that “wow” factor when someone first sees her. At almost 4 feet tall, to my knowledge she’s is the largest Audrey 2 display prop ever available for private purchase. Her total weight is approximately 60 lbs.
The original design was sculpted out of WED clay (water based clay). I put a tremendous amount of effort in sculpting all the little details that make her feel organic and lively. Her head is cast in an extremely durable urethane. I then sculpt her stem and shape her “arms”.
Because of Audrey’s large size and my desire to be as screen accurate as possible, I choose to sculpt custom leaves for around her head as well as the distinctive vibrant leaves that sit behind her. Certainly a lot of work, but so worth it!
Audrey is intricately painted with a combination of airbrushing and hand painting techniques. Then she is sealed to protect her finish.
As much fun as she is to create, it is incredibly time consuming, thus there will be very limited availability.
