However, it is important to have in mind that wood in some sense, is alive, i.e. when temperature and humidity fluctuate it can transform a bit while "breathing"; e.g. the table top can bend slightly, sometimes up t 5 millimeters (0.2 inch), and then straighten again later on. We would suggest considering if such funny "pranks" that come with buying a wooden table is something that you are ready for.
