It will do well in tropical, sub-tropical, and Mediterranean climates. It is a clustering species with green ringed trunks and deep green, elegantly drooping leaves. It is very similar to the popular Golden Cane Palm (aka Areca Palm), except that it is much more beautiful. It should do well in full sun in all climates except for the hottest tropical climates where filtered sun will suit it better until trunking size. It's growth rate is moderate and it is relatively drought-tolerant and cold hardy to about 28-32 degrees F. Grows to 60 feet in habitat but closer to 30 feet here in the United States.
