This is a fantastic antique engraved foux tortoiseshell comb cased with a mirror and foux leather spiderweb case! Overall the comb is in good condition, with some green verdigris forming from the age. Appears to have been gold plated brass and it’s a very pretty brown and yellow color. The mirror is old and hazed. The case is in good condition with signs of where it was obvious that it was well loved and well used. What’s neat is the foux leather case has a spiderweb pattern on it and a spider when you open it! The snap for the leather case has very degree on it, but I believe it can be cleaned off with some elbow grease. All in all it’s a really cool antique pocket Comb!
