Artisan-crafted teak finishes are hand-applied using a wire brush to subtly distress the wood followed by staining the pigment onto the surface. Small imperfections may expose underlying teak wood. If left uncovered, finishes will gradually fade and acquire a beautiful silvery-grey patina (typical of untreated teak wood), adding unique character to your piece. Teak hardwood contains natural oils that repel insects, prevent drying, and resist moisture. Teak is also resistant to fungal decay, rotting, and warping due to temperature or humidity. Crafted to withstand the elements, Milos’ cushions have been engineered for maximum water drainage and air circulation. Milos’ cushions are crafted from an open-cell, quick-dry foam wrapped in high-quality poly fibers made from recycled post-consumer plastics.
