As Amazon Wood is a natural product, coloration, shape and size differences will occur and are to be expected.  Small: 6-12 inches Medium: 10-16 inches Large: 14-20 inches Extra Large: 18-24 inches Driftwood can leech tannins which can cause a slight yellow or brown tint to your water.  This is natural and the effects will reduce over time.  Boiling the wood prior to use can decrease the tannins leeching.  Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium. If you prefer, you may also boil the wood for at least 1-2 hours to help release tannins. Spiderwood is buoyant and can float upon initial use
